For some reason, Nintendohas just nevernatively added the functionality to any of its home systems. In the Switchs case, this is sort of understandable since its a hybrid but it would be nice if it was there anyway.
In order to connect your Switch via a wired (Ethernet) connection, then youll need to by a LAN Adapter which can be connected to the USB ports on the dock. While there are quite a few out there, the officiallylicensed adapter costs nearly $30. Thats where this new Switch Dock from Japanese accessory-maker Cyber Gadget comes in. Called the Cyber LAN, this is a new third-party Switch dock and its main feature is that it has a built-in Ethernet port. This eliminates the need to buy an adapter. Despite that, it still includes the same 2 USB 2.0 ports and single USB 3.0 port thats on the official dock. Of course, the overall quality still depends on the actual speed of your Internet, but a wired connection will always offer a better result. [SOURCE VIA]
